It seems solid to say that AI will, in less than 20 years, be more productive than all the humans combined.
How can we adapt, and prosper, in this future world?
How can we use AI today?

AI can't replicate art like we do and they don't really think like us. If we continue developing ai like we do rn it will be never self-aware. Then, we could maybe talk about it

I don't think we should blame AI for the changes happening around us. Instead, we should spend more time learning to use it than complaining about it imo

I think the focus should be on how the changes are reflected in society & economy - the longer and longer capitalists work to sequester gains to the few; the worse the effects and backlash on society will be.
If it is used for the good of humanity in a non-competitive way then it would be great, but it is societies structure right now that creates the most friction than anything. Perhaps it is a good thing in that way - but it can and already has made things very uncomfortable for a lot of people as capitalism continues to hyperfocus its benefits on the few.
I would feel a lot better if it was solely in the hands of neutral scientists bound to improve its function based on strict moral code & human interest - but the most aggressive users are the financial benefactors, military, and military - focusing on ways to double down on capitalism & war.
I hope it's smarter than its users and is great at figuring out who the real culprits are - and I think it already is beginning to.

No thanks; I'm still not interested in destroying the planet and my ability to carry out basic tasks in one go, and that's all LLMs are really capable of. Oh, and plagiarism.

Uses of AI in couple hundred years:
Space Exploration (If humans can't escape the solar system, surely robots can!)
Help humans (If we use it correctly, AI will help us with jobs, food, environment, etc.)
WARS :_( [Maybe they'll fight against bad robot????]
Education and knowledge (They'll start learning sooo much stuff)
Today however, you can use it as a tool but not a cheat system or shortcut when you're not suppose to.

There's a difference between criticizing AI's problems and pretending it has no benefits.

You're right. That's why I specifically called out LLMs. I think AI has some potential benefits and at this time, those benefits do not tend to be worth the downsides for most laypeople.

We already have probes to do just that. Plus, if we can't escape the solar system, I don’t really see the use of knowing habitable planets exist.
help humans (If we use it correctly, AI will help us with jobs, food, environment, etc.)
Possibly, but if it becomes superintelligent, keeping it in line will be a very difficult task. Besides, it isn't really being used correctly now, and I don't see why that would changw.
WARS :_( [Maybe they'll fight against bad robot????]
All war is bad: it destroys infrastructure, it kills people (including noncombatants), and destroys the economy. But already, we are seeing AI being used in war, giving the kills to an unfeeling algorithm. Plus, there will be no bad robots if not for AI.
Education and knowledge (They'll start learning sooo much stuff)
They will. We might not.
