When I heard this song playing on the radio back in the day, I used to answer the question the song asked for:
"I would really like to know...Should I stay or should I go ?" (Repeated at least 50 times)
I say yes, definitely go, get the fjuck out of here, and don't come back !
I thought about posting this song, but I just can't do it, as it could be...

the song would be worse without the rock guitar

"Never Gonna Give You Up" by Rick Astley- overplayed/annoying as all get-out
"All I Want For Christmas Is You" by Mariah Carey- Again, annoying/overplayed
"Don't Stop Believing" by Journey- overplayed and just tiring to listen to after a while

yep, there’s just something about the sequence of notes they use in their songs that makes the sound lacking

In the '70's, there was a song named "Disco Duck." I believe it was supposed to be a spoof on disco in general, but regardless it was terrible. There was another song from around that time. I cannot think of the title, but the woman who sang it had a very high voice and throughout the songs birds would sing. It was a very bad song, IMHO'

I remember that stinker; You might have something there. Willis Alan Ramsey wrote it, so I guess we can mostly blame him. ;-)
But of the three main versions, the Captain & Tennille's version (1976) is definitely the worst. (America, 1973, and Ramsey, 1972.) Except for that one song, Ramsey's album is darn good. I can't wait for Ramsey's second album. (He's still working on it, lol.)
