I hate my southern accent just because an ex of mine used to tell me anything I said sounded like a dirty threat even if I was talking about a lug nut on a car

@morphyms1817 the Euphonium is known in Europe as Tenor Tuba, used by composers like Ravel (in the arrangement of "Pictures at an Exhibition" from Mussorgski) Holst, Janacek.

Btw, two tenors-Tuba are playing the first notes in the beginning (that sounds pentatonic) of Janacek's Sinfonietta

The timbre is reminding French Horn and Bassoon. More clear than a standard Tuba.
