Whats the thing you misunderstood about lichess before!?

I thought swiss tournaments was only for Switzerland people T-T

I thought people don't have spam threads here. Oh well, it looks like I was 100% wrong.

• I thought that Lichess was free; I eventually realized that it is paid for by the users.

• I thought that moderators looked at reports.

• I thought that Horsey was a ghost.

When I first joined Lichess, I thought that since it was completely free, there would be a lot of cheaters and spammers. But after actually playing here, that misconception completely disappeared. I've played over 1,000 rated games so far, and honestly, I haven't encountered a single cheater. T-T <3

I played a guy that thought I was cheating because I used en passant in an antichess game.

I thought that everyone here would have common sense... seems that is true nowhere nowadays :p

I thought the 2000's were ez to beat

I thought people didn't yell insults in the chat of a casual game when they lose...
