Tankers. It's a Russian film inspired of the Tank Commander Semyon Konovalov.
I give it 2 stars on 5
Because it is very far from the real battle where Konovalov's KV1 destroyed 16 German tanks and armored vehicles. I didn't like the unrealistic "romance", and the director's choices to change the names of the tankers in the crew. also a lot of historical inaccuracies. frankly, this film is a farce compared to the "real" Konovalov, whose story was much more badass and for once, a real biopic would have been much better.
The real story :
with a single KV1 tank, broken down but well hidden, he held out against nearly 70 Wehrmacht tanks and armored vehicles, making them believe that there was an entire company of soviets tanks, until the Germans discovered the deception and destroy the KV1 with a 88' gun.
Konovalov and two other survivors escape from the tank with a machine gun and try to reach the Soviet lines. After 3 days, they end up coming across a Panzer and neutralize its crew. they'll join the Soviet lines with the Panzer. they will fight for 3 months with this captured tank).
But still, good tank movie if you like Fury or T34 War Machine

On a similar subject, I need to watch a movie about General Rommel from WW2. Do you have a recommendation?
Surprisingly, I've not watched a movie about him before.
Movies about Rommel? Better still to pick out a competent videogame about World War II and try to crush Rommel with your tiny counters! In that fashion, you can construct your own story.
@morphyms1817, the first movie who came in my mind is "Rommel" (2012). Also "Desert Fox" (1951) with James Manson
The first is closer to what really happened, while the second is more romanced, a bit in the style of "Battle of the Bulge"

Thank you.

Recent movie (watched last night) on Netflix... “Klaus” really heart warming tale of myth, children ,love and friendship.” In a lovely drawing art style, the story of a young postman sent to establish a post office in the most dangerous town ever. Once there he meets an elusive toy maker and the story of Christmas and Santa begins. But this discovery will change the fate of the town and the young postman’s life forever.
