It could be any story, but it’s extra special when my dad or grandparents tell them :)
My grandparents still tell me wonderful stories when I visit them, kinda sad that I don’t see them very often. My dad thinks I’m too old for stories lol, I’d still enjoy them if he told them, he always added nice twists to popular tales and makes it seem like it’s completely new. Miss those bedtime story times :)

Not always possible. In Romeo and Juliet the families Capulet and Maontaigu are enemy of each other. In a more contemporary setting, more common obstacles are parents religion, social class or caste.
Besides Romeo and Juliet is a masterpiece of literature. You may not like the premise, but that's not really the relevant criterion to judge it.
