Review of lichess tutor!!!

basically all this does is tell you how often your opponents mess up a winning position

I disagree on this point - for my games at least I deliberately try to create complications when losing.

Thanks for the interesting write-up.

FYI it is in open/public beta which is why it's not announced yet in a louder way.

I agree that you shouldn't give up losing positions, but your opponent must make mistakes in order to lose a winning position.
You can make it harder for them not to mess up, but they still have to be the one to make a mistake.
And thanks I didn't know it wasn't released to all users yet.

I had Resourcefulness in the red, and it made me realize I resign too early in blitz games. I made a conscious decision to stop clicking that button. Very actionable information!

Still doesn't beat hiring a coach. Can't see myself using this feature. Ever.

A very important thing is to never give up.
Your opponents aren't perfect, they will make mistakes.
And it's up to you to find them.

Your coach can't analyze hundreds of games in an instant, besides, this is completely free.
Edit: That doesn't mean that you shouldn't get a coach, it just means that this is actually useful.

I can't see the tutor option

Tutor is only released in beta. As was brought to my attention by somethingpretentious.
You can test beta things when you join this team: https://lichess.org/team/lichess-beta-testers .

I'm in the minority camp that says that if you want a game analyzed, hire a coach. And if you can't afford a coach, don't bother analyzing games at all.
