I know I will not win, but here is a detailed explanation of the game: Opening: Solid, but slightly passive

Game: Four Knights Game: Italian Variation

Moves:

e4 e5 2. Nf3 Nc6 3. Nc3 Nf6 4. Bc4 Bc5 5. O-O O-O

This is all perfectly fine. You mirrored White and got a balanced, classical position.

Key moment:

6...h6

Not terrible, but slightly slow.
You’re preventing Bg5, but White wasn’t threatening it yet.

Better mindset: Develop first, react later.

Early Middlegame: You accept structural damage—but it’s OK

8...Be6 9. Bxe6 fxe6

You doubled your pawns, which beginners often fear—but here:

You gain:

Open f-file
Central control (e5, d5)
Semi-attacking chances

This was actually good practical play, not a mistake.

First Big Turning Point (You take control)
Position after:

  1. Nh4?! Nh5 13. Bxb6 axb6 14. Rad1??

Now White blunders.

You played:

14...Nd4!

This is excellent:

Central outpost
Attacks c2 and e2
Creates initiative

This is your best phase of the game.

Missed Winning Shot
Instead of:

15...Qe7??

You had:

15...Nf4!! (Winning move)

Idea:

Threatens Qh5 + Nxh3+
Massive attack on the king

This would likely end the game quickly.

Second Chance You Missed (VERY important)

After:
18. Rf1??

You played:
18...Qh4??

But the killer move was:

18...Nf3+!!

This is a pattern you must learn:

Sacrifice open king win immediately

Line idea:

gxf3 Nf4 Qg5 attack explodes

You missed a forced winning tactic here.

You Still Break Through (Good instinct)
Position:

  1. Ne2??

You found:

19...Nf3+!

This is strong:

You open the king
Activate rook
Take initiative again

After:
20. gxf3 Rxf3

This is exactly how you should attack:

Open lines
Bring rook in
Target king
Another Missed Kill
You played:

21...Nxg3??

But better was:

21...Nf4!

Stronger because:

Keeps pressure
Avoids simplification
Leads to cleaner win
Critical Missed Checkmate
Position after:

  1. Kf2??

You played:
23...Rxd3+??

But you had:

23...Rxh3+!! (Forced mate in 5)

This is huge.

Pattern:

Sacrifice on h3
King gets dragged
Queen finishes

This is the biggest missed moment of the game.

Endgame Phase: Messy but winning

Even after missing mate, you’re still winning because:

White’s king is exposed
You have active queen + passed pawns
You played:
...Qxe4+
...c5
...Qf3+
...e4

Good idea: keep pushing and attacking

Sloppy but survivable mistakes

Moves like:

30...Qf8??
32...Qe3+?
33...Kh7?!

These:

Let White back into the game slightly
Miss faster wins

BUT:
At your level, this is normal. You kept pressure, which matters more.

Final Phase: You convert

The key idea:

Passed pawn + active queen

Moves like:

...e3
...e2
...Qf2
...Qxb7

You transitioned into:
Queen + passed pawn domination

And finished with:

57...Qff1#
Honest Evaluation of Your Play
Strengths
You attack well once the king is exposed
You find forcing moves (Nf3+, Rxf3, etc.)
You don’t panic after mistakes
Good instinct for initiative
Weaknesses
You miss tactical knockouts
Nf4 ideas
Sacrifices like Rxh3+
You sometimes choose “safe” moves over winning ones
Qe7 instead of Nf4
Qh4 instead of Nf3+
Calculation depth
You see 1–2 moves, but not full sequences
Your Level (based on this game)
Current: ~1000 (accurate)
Tactical potential: 1200–1300+
Main blocker: not calculating forcing lines fully
What You Should Train

  1. Tactical patterns (MOST IMPORTANT)

Focus on:

Sacrifices on h3 / h7
Knight jumps like Nf4 / Nf3+
Forcing sequences (checks first!)

Use:

Lichess puzzles (do 10–20 daily)
2. Always ask:

Before every move:

“Do I have a check, capture, or threat?”

If you did this, you would’ve found:

Nf4
Nf3+
Rxh3+
3. Don’t fear sacrifices

You had multiple winning sacs but hesitated.

At your level, attack > material

Final Verdict

You deserved the win, but:

You missed at least 3 forced wins
A stronger opponent would have punished that

That said:
Your attacking instinct is your biggest asset—develop it.

too long(no offense)
