I am a chess journalist and I embed your live broadcast, but no pieces anymore :( It happens on Firefox, desktop, latest build, iphone, latest OS, Safari browser.

No. I did ctrl+f5 on firefox and the board show empty. No problems in chromium Version 140.0.7339.80 (Official Build) Fedora Project (64-bit).
Occurred twice today.
Firefox 142.0.1 (64-bit)
Windows 10 (64-bit)
Nvidia GTX Titan X
My Browser isn't loading any board when I open one anymore. But there is also nothing else loading on the gameboard (like the chat etc):

OK so apparently it makes no difference whether the pieces are linked from remote files, or embedded as base64 in the CSS.
