The benefits of bullet chess

Bullet chess (games usually under 1 minute per player) has some cool benefits if you want to try it out:

Improves quick thinking: You learn to make fast decisions and trust your instincts.

Sharpens pattern recognition: Because you have no time to calculate deeply, you rely on spotting familiar patterns fast.

Boosts mouse/keyboard speed: It helps you get better at moving pieces quickly online.

Builds time management skills: You practice using your clock wisely under pressure.

Fun and exciting: The fast pace keeps the adrenaline up and can be a blast to play.

Good warm-up: It can help you warm up your brain before longer games.

But: Bullet isn’t great for deep learning or serious improvement because it’s mostly about speed, not accuracy or strategy. Use it as a fun supplement, not your main training.

Real chess requires 'SLOW' thinking.

Tactics only won't get you far in real chess
Boosts mouse/keyboard speed: It helps you get better at moving pieces quickly online.
You won't need it in real chess

Okay
Fun and exciting: The fast pace keeps the adrenaline up and can be a blast to play.
If you want adrenaline go play video games
Good warm-up: It can help you warm up your brain before longer games.
No, it makes you play more hastily during said longer games
But: Bullet isn’t great for deep learning or serious improvement because it’s mostly about speed, not accuracy or strategy.
Finally, a disclaimer!
Use it as a fun supplement
And sparingly.

Bullet is good for:

Idk
I really don’t know
I don’t think is good for anything

I prefer to have 5 minutes in classical ngl. I ended my last tournament using less than 10 minutes in a 45 minute classical game while my opponent had 1 minute left on move 26.

Another one of my teammates flagged with 5 second delay up 1 knight and 2 pawns. If he knew how to play bullet it'd be an easy win.
