I had some trouble solving this even though i am 1900 rapid and 1650 puzzles (don't do puzzles that much)
like no 1100 would calculate that, not even classical
it should be at least 1600 rated,
post your opinion about this puzzles rating vs actual difficulty
it took me 15 seconds which is a lot for a 1121 rated puzzle it should be 1400- 1900 but the rating is decided by how difficult it was for the players
Indeed, it’s overrated.
What else?
This is a type of puzzle where it's easy to guess the solution but difficult to be certain. I have a 2312 puzzle rating and I took a long time solving it without even being certain it was the correct solution.
Who cares? Just skip the damn thing.
Huh? Nop. I have seen way harder (especially in the category of endgames and opposition). I am around 1900 puzzles and solved it pretty easily. I would say 1300+ can solve it. Who sees the rating of a puzzle? I just try to solve it, or if not look at the solution and understand it and move on. I didn't even know that each puzzle has a rating before I was in the forums....
Edit: Well they could think kh7 so maybe it is higher than 1100.....
I just did this problem tactite, it was very easy in my opinion (Ng5+, Kg7 - Ne6+, Kf7 - Nxd8+) but he can have a higher elo (around 1300-1500)
You are right, this puzzle is way underrated!
Although the move Ng5 isn't spectacular, I wonder why the computer plays f6 and not h6. With h6 you still lose a piece (the bishop), but at least you don't lose the queen in the same miserable manner.
