In Istanbul there is a Republic Monument, erected in 1928. There are sculptures of Ataturk and his companions.
Among them there are two Russians - do you know their names?
Turkey has seen it's democracy crumble in the last 20 years. Does what you are seeing in the USA remind you of your own country?
