2 Years of Programming Chess Apps: My Lessons

@Bookup said ^

I think many successful applications are not built purely by brilliant developers sitting in isolation.

They are refined gradually through constant interaction between creators and users.

Truth.

I'm finishing up Epic Analysis in Chess Openings Wizard and it is built entirely from constant interactions with users.

I have not seen much of Chess Opening Wizard, I need to have a look into that.

There is always the possibility, if you create value, people will want to pay for it.

Love the content but might want to apply the same perspective of ai in coding on the writing. The lists are a bit tedious and while I agree with all your points, it would be so much stronger if you could pull concrete examples to back up your statements. I think you must have had many counter intuitive lessons as someone who built a profitable app, you can speak with real experience and it would become a much more compelling read.

Written by me but edited with AI of course. It does have it's uses.

How ironic to claim you don’t use AI for coding (or at least that’s what you claim), while publishing a blog post generated 100% by AI (see Pangram AI for detection)

Oh I use AI for coding today, now that I have learned what I needed to. The article was edited by AI, but initial draft by myself, not sure what Pandgram is, but AI is super useful.
