What is happening to most of these threads recently?

#Title: A few issues...

• https://lichess.org/forum/off-topic-discussion/enough-enough-brainrot#3. Adding to that post: https://lichess.org/forum/off-topic-discussion/threads-aimed-at-a-specific-user. Googleable questions should also not be asked.

• Lichessians filling up threads with shit by copy-pasting posts (especially images).

• The Lichessian who periodically spams the forums with low-effort, unoriginal threads, which include an asterisk at the beginning of their titles.

• People using ChatGPT as a replacement for thinking and writing themselves.

• The Lichessian who spams Game Analysis, treating it as their profile page.

• Lichess removing post numbers.

#1: A) In the roughly five years that I have been a Lichess forum poster---only around four years when including breaks---I have not seen the forums ever be great. In reality, the forums are filled with hypocrites (like anti-mini-mods), people who take criticism poorly, spammers who are not taken care of, and the list goes on and on. These forums have always been full of crap, it seems: 'I will go on vacation. Bye.' 'Do you like hugs?' 'Today is my birthday.' 'Tell X to unblock me.' '*Is it possible that multiple people can have the exact same idea simultaneously?'

B) Politics encourage meaningful discussion, which is the point of forums.

C) Instead of complaining about the forums being garbage, make some good threads and posts.

Guy's I would make threads. But the ideas I have are just jumble rot as well.

I don't have any good ideas 'yet'.

#15: If you do not make threads, then you will certainly not make good threads. I have made plenty of trash threads---low-effort jokes, spam that was intended as a joke, Googleable questions, poorly written and incoherent rants---which I have learned from. Even if my newer threads are not great, they are at least far better than they used to be. If your thread encourages meaningful discussion, is high-effort, and is written decently, it would be infinitely better than the crap that the forums are filled with.

Seems to me politics mainly encourages the flinging of brickbats. And is "meaningful discussion" really the point of forums? I thought they were by and large for hanging out (and having fun).
