Did you hear of any person that was ever adversely effected by a y2k bug?

The Y2K bug was a suspected disaster of computers when the year 2000 would start.
Many were adversely affected and payed lots of money to information technology people to cure the bug.
Nothing happened.

It was a big scam. All companies went crazy and wasted money on projects to cure the bug.

Nothing happened to my computer, anyway. Thanks to that very helpful prince in Nigeria who had warned me about it, it did cost me a lot of money but I'm still grateful that he made sure everything was fine after all :)

Wikipedia has a fairly long list of documented errors caused by the Y2K bug. Just skimming the list, it doesn't appear that any of them were catastrophic. However, a good number of them were real problems that caused inconveniences.

Well, at least we can look forward to the Year 2038 problem.

Wikipedia has a fairly long list of documented errors caused by the Y2K bug. Just skimming the list, it doesn't appear that any of them were catastrophic. However, a good number of them were real problems that caused inconveniences. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Year_2000_problem Well, at least we can look forward to the Year 2038 problem. :-)

Is the prince good with the blue screen of death? I'm trying to get more miles out of my Windows 95 pc.
