April fools day means you get to fool other people.
During a real game, imagine seeing eyes where you would normally see spectators. The eyes would appear whenever the browser leaves the foreground or the mouse exits the window. Wouldn’t that be spooky?
If it happens a second time, a message would appear beneath the eyes saying, “Game under observation.” The opponent would not see anything, since their browser and mouse remain where they should be, on the game.
The eyes would follow the movement of the mouse and disappear the moment it returns to the chessboard. The “Game under observation” message would then fade out after a few moves.
Yes this was our April fool's day joke. Just because it was March 31 where you live does not mean it wasn't April 1 for the other half the planet.
Yes it will be permanent. In the future if your game needs googley eyes you can hit shift+g we'll let it stay like last years board flip joke.

There was an option in the preferences called "advanced cursor tracking" that worked for Apple users but that may have been only for April 1st I can't find it now anyway. So it might not work for I products. Maybe one of our Devs knows and can weigh in?
No, I mean the Shift F thing doesn't work the Shift G thing works fine
