Impolite opponents regarding take backs

Why are many players so impolite that they don't even say thank you when you allow them to take back a move?
And conversely, I have also experienced being insulted by my opponent when I refuse to allow them to take back a move.
Now I ́m thinking about generally refusing takebacks.
What are your experiences?

I was playing a person who clearly did not know how to play well.I allowed him 6 take backs (unrated game) and you know what he did? just left the game!! I'm like what the hell?! No more take backs ever anymore esp. rated games. Never.

I never ask for one or accept a request. To me, takeback is like 'touch move' OTB but even worse since move confirmation is available for those who are prone to mouse errors.
Plus many takeback requests are rude. Like making a blunder in a fast time control and then asking for a takeback, whose fault is that? Or making a blunder in a position that's already losing, the takeback only prolongs a game whose outcome is decided. And where does it end, I've had people ask for multiple takebacks in a game?

I have only had 1 player ask for a take back, I accepted it, he then moved the piece and that was checkmate.
It was a learning event, as other players may very well have made the checkmate move without needing the take back.

True kindness is when you expect nothing in return.

B) 'I have also experienced being insulted by my opponent when I refuse to allow them to take back a move.' ~ Turn insults into an advantage: Start growing a block list. It is a nice mini-hobby. Currently, I block over two-hundred accounts on Lichess alone.

C) Turning off takebacks is like throwing up: It gets all of your pain, stress, and poison out of your system (turning off chat is also a recommendation of mine).

Disable takeback function. Block insulter. Move on and don't care.

Thanks all. Allthough I am not strictly against takebacks (esp. after obvious misclicks) I now have turned takeback off.
