I mean your question is incorrect. Gukesh is the world champion. If you mean world number 1, then I think sindarov has the best chance imo. My pick would had been dubov if he played regularly.

World number 1? The world ranking by elo system is so broken, Magnus just needs to sit while top players constantly take points from each other, making it really hard for one to stand out.
