odd feeling, when seeing games you loved as a kid, to be completly dead.

The games of Lasker, Capablanca, Fischer are still good to study.

Me, I've gotten over it. By now, it doesn't feel odd anymore that nobody plays Pong.

I mean I was already a full-grown adult in my 20s when Roblox launched so I have never played it.

What I've heard of it, it sounded like a dumpster fire.

See, I'm a millennial, when I was a kid we didn't have as many games that are online and all that. Also I've seen plenty of series go from popular to irrelevant. Guitar Hero. Tony Hawk. Sims if you're someone who never moved to Sims 4, sure there are still communities for Sims 2 and Sims 3 but Sims 4 is pretty much a straight-up cash grab at this point.

I know you had this bad boy

Actually I didn't. Knew of them but I don't think I had any. Wait. I DID have a mini one or something I think.

ahh roblox, minecraft, and fortnite - the only games that exist for kids these days that are all older than the kids who play them lol - BACK IN MAH DAY....

See I didn't always mind old games - I remember playing Zelda on my dad's NES (one of the few cool things about my dad, we did not get along generally.) when I was 10-11.

Dunno if kids now will still play whatever is "retro." I'm sure some will.

Gamers should play some retro games

Bruh I was thinking this was going to be someone from the 80s talking about Pac Man or something lol

That's right, when I opened the thread I thought it might make me feel a little bit old. Instead, I felt flipping ancient :)

In the 1990s offline-single-player games were a big thing. Good news: No way for them to be deleted...
And if they still vanish somehow, time to do bigger things.
I am quoting a famous 1990s video game:
The Builder gave thou the raw stuff of thy life - make thou a great work of it or thou mockest His gifts.

I played tons of NES growing up and I still play them, all I'm saying really is to expand ones horizons ;)

I guess I'm old school; I have zero interest in any video game that requires the internet.

I have very little interest in any video game at all (sorry gamers), except for chess online :)
