What is your favorite response to 1.e4 and 1.d4?
1...e6. Either the French, a transposition to the French, or a setup with ...e6, ...c5, ...Nf6, and potentially ...Qb6.
Against e4 I play the Sicilian, and against d4 mostly something in the lines of the QGD, QGA or Slav
Philidor Defense against E4 and indian defense against D4
Najdorf vs. 1.e4 and Semi-Slav vs. 1.d4.
