ANICHESS RISING STARS: OFFICIAL REGULATIONS

1. GENERAL INFORMATION

  • Platform: All matches will be played on https://anichess.com.
  • Final Stage Date: May 10, 2026.
  • Start Time: 13:00 UTC (21:00 HKT).
  • Communication & Regulation: Official Anichess Discord — https://discord.gg/anichess.
  • Time Control: 5 minutes + 2 seconds increment.

2. FINALISTS SELECTION & CONFIRMATION

  • Target Audience: This tournament is exclusively for new players from the Lichess community who have registered via the official form.
  • Eligibility: To be eligible for the final stage, players must have completed the registration form: https://forms.gle/9XGbYmgyP6PNHQbA7.
  • Selection Criteria: Finalists will be determined on May 9, 00:00 UTC (08:00 HKT) based on:
    • Top 8 players by Anichess rating among registered newcomers.
    • Top 2 players by total games played on Anichess.
  • Confirmation: Finalists must confirm participation in Discord by May 10, 00:00 UTC.

3. MATCH PROCEDURE

  • Match Setup: The player listed higher in the bracket plays White in the first game.
  • Hosting: The player playing White creates the game via Custom Mode (https://anichess.com/pvp/custom) and shares the link in Discord.
  • Colors Rotation: 1st game — White, 2nd game — Black, 3rd game (if needed) — White.
  • Tie-break: If the 3rd game ends in a draw, the player playing White is awarded the win.

️ SPELL STRATEGY RULE:
Starting from the 1/4 finals, players cannot use the same spells in consecutive games of a match. ALL spells used across a match (up to 3 games) MUST BE UNIQUE. Repeating a spell results in a TECHNICAL LOSS for that game.

4. TOURNAMENT FORMAT (KNOCKOUT)

  • 1/8 Finals: Best of 1 (BO1).
  • 1/4 Finals, Semi-finals & Finals: Best of 2 (BO2).

5. PRIZE POOL ($600 USDT IN CHECK TOKENS)

  • 1st Place: $200 | 2nd Place: $120 | 3rd Place: $80 | 4th Place: $40
  • 5th-8th Places: $20 each | 9th-16th Places: $10 each

Payment Details:

  • Prizes distributed in CHECK tokens to wallets linked to Anichess accounts.
  • Payout within 2 days after the tournament concludes.
