ATTN: The Summer Zh League

I don't have twitch account so I can't vote but I'd like to see 3+2. That's the time control Fide uses for their blitz championship. As entertaining as the matches have been, I think too many games involve the clock being too significant a factor so I think an increment is good. That being said, I think if matches are going to be a series of games (maybe not 10, maybe 4 or 6) a shorter time control is more practical, imo.

Completely agreed with #31. An increment favors the increment of tactics for high rated players battles and lowers the chance of random checks to flag opponent.

Also, it increases the quality of game of lower rated players against high ones, people can try to defend till the very end.
I think increment will bring new players in, if the news is effectively spread.

From my point of view, 5+2 is better because I'm kinda slow in calculations, and my fav time control for zh is 5+3.

But if 3+2 is chosen I don't mind that much.

15+10 looks like to me a bit boring. I think not everyone is glad to play that long. I think this time control won't encourage new players to join the tournament.
On the other hand, I also think that high rated players can try to elaborate new openings, as time allows to remedy.

I like the idea of having an increment. But I doubt that many players will be interested in 15+10. Seems too slow for crazyhouse standards.

The results from this poll may be a bit skewed. There is only one long time control option, but the blitz time controls are fractured into many different categories. So, while 15+10 could win, it might be the case that more people actually prefer a blitz time control. For example I voted for 5+2 but would still rather play 3+2 over 15+10.

It might make more sense to first make a poll for rapid vs. blitz in general, and then, once you have those results, make a new poll with subdivided options.
