Hello, I was online at 18:03 UTC expecting to see the match but neither player was online. Anyway there is still time to reschedule the match before the deadline.
@Malekii200
Regarding #101 and #102, and for the avoidance of doubt in general:
In an ideal world, all matches would be played rather than decided by forfeit. In the real world, players do turn up slightly late now and then. In order that organisers not have to spend time on deciding whether a player's reasons for lateness are valid, there is a grace period of twenty minutes to make provision for fixing wifi, finishing a zoom meeting etc etc etc.
Anyone kept waiting is advised to take screenshots as evidence of when they were online and that they waited to give their opponent a reasonable time to keep the appointment. Be warned though that organisers will take a dim view of any suspected abuse of this allowance.
To summarise, if you can prove that you were online at the agreed time and prepared to wait twenty minutes then you have a case for claiming a forfeit as a last resort. The expectation is however that all reasonable effort is made to actually play the match.
@DE14822 6 - 0 @CHlivelylemon
You were also not online, I wrote a personal message about the appointment of a new time and date
@Malekii200 vs @ajedrezconzeta 6-2
Remember to play all your CWC matches with rated games and not casual games
However it should be fine this time, no need to replay the match - ggs! @ajedrezconzeta remember that you are not yet out of the tournament, you are still in the lower-bracket! glhf in your next matches
@LegionDestroyer
OK, now I'll know it. Thanks

Hello everyone,
The good news is that the challonge (challonge.com/CWC2022) indicates that 25 first-round matches have been completed. By now all first round matches should have been scheduled, and all should be played by this coming Sunday (see post #1 in this forum). In cases where both players are communicating such as post #91 I hope they take heed of this. I am aware of two matches that were scheduled to take place before now but as far as I can see did not happen. These are @jrpadhi versus @Ishaan4e (post #38) and @Malenkii200 versus @ajedrezconzeta (post #49).
Players that have reached the next round should feel free to schedule their next match: early isn't a problem, but late certainly is and matches that lag behind will be resolved by the issuing of forfeits.
In cases where it can be seen (e.g. post #61 or #64) that one player has made an effort to schedule the match and the opponent has not reciprocated, it will be reflected in the decision to issue a forfeit.
There have been double-forfeits before, and judging by post #31 we may have one in the case of regarding @Whitedancingrockstar and @crazyhousegrind
Can you please tell us what is the deadline for the second round of the main bracket? I think we have at least two more weeks?

That's odd, I didn't get pinged. I know you don't like to get pinged but if I didn't then you shouldn't either so here goes...
I do not presume to speak for any of my colleagues, but my assumption is that we are going with two-week windows so that people have reasonable time to juggle other commitments while still being able to turn up for a match in fighting shape.
The real time-burner is the candidates, so the sooner we get to that the better, basically.
