Ahoy Everyone! This is a quick recap of the 2025 Horde World Championship.
In the early rounds most favorites managed to win by dominant scores, the first upset was a 6-4 win for Daggeredson over Endeadfallezing. Followed by no notable upsets until a 7-5 win for Denis_Chuev over Diablo4747. This championship had three very clear favorites, Horus_88, Matvei-e2e4, and Hod-Konem96. The first encounter between the three of them was a 6-4 victory for Horus_88 over Hod-Konem96 moving them into the lower bracket.
The next major match Horus_88 won the Winner's bracket by defeating Matvei-e2e4 5.5-3.5, making the lower bracket final
Hod-Konem96 vs Matvei-e2e4 which Konem won 6-3.
In the Grand Final Horus was undefeated giving them two lives to Konem's one life having won their earlier match.
Konem managed to win the first match of the grand final in an intense second tie-breaker for a 8-6 victory.
In the Grand Final Reset @Horus_88 won the 2025 Horde World Championship by winning 8-6 in an Tie-Breaker victory. Unlike last time this was a far closer championship but Horus once again defends their title and will be the defending champion going into the 2026 series.
