You may have heard me saying I don't really care how many people are using my extension. Well, that was me lying! Of course I care. I love that people use my work. And today, on Chrome, using a statistic that doesn't really tell the truth, but I follow it anyway, 8000 people are using LiChess Tools!! Thank you!

Together with the 900+ people using it for Firefox and 300+ people on Edge, we're close to that psychological threshold of 10000 users. Which is wonderful! I don't usually ask for "like and subscribe" stuff, but ratings and comments in the extension store really help make LiChess Tools known.

The features of LiChess Tools are meant to enable people to learn and enjoy chess more and I am adding more stuff every time I get a new idea or suggestion. However, I've started to doubt that is the proper way to go. I mean, yes, people enjoy a lot of the stuff there, but is it what they actually NEED?

So I am having recurring thoughts about building a community, but not the usual crap with Discord channels and YouTube channels, something that actually enables players to find and nurture their own passion, find the right level of balance between being an introverted weirdo and bonding with people having the same interests.

I have NO idea how to do that, but I am thinking about it. If you have some suggestions, don't be shy!

The next version will have some nice stuff and it's a pretty stable one - meaning most of the stuff I wanted to do I did. I know there are 100 more issues that needs implementation, but some are really minor while some are really big :D No sweet spot.

I would really love to hear more from you, guys! What is that makes you play chess? Is there something you would love to be able to do, but can't or it takes too much effort? Would you enjoy team tournaments or even real life events? Do you struggle with addiction to the game? What are you dreams? Let me know.

Until then, spread the word and don't hesitate to come to me for anything. Have fun!
