Hi,
here is a suggestion, after having talked about it on the tchat.
I realise how much, in "Studing", Topics are not so helpful as they are positioned in a miscellaneous way. If they should help finding our studies, as soon as we have many studies and many Topics, we waste energy to find those Topics.
Organise them in a alphabetic order or, better !, in the order we would like (as an example, all those about Strategy at the same place on the screen), would help a lot.
Thank you again!!!

I really wanted to implement this for every study, but I was waiting for proper study APIs. Right now, they are NOT good. Lichess promised some work in that area, but meanwhile they got around to doing something else.
However, I think I can scrounge something just for your own studies. In the end, I think that's the major usage for people.
So I created these issues:
https://github.com/Siderite/lichessTools/issues/1292
https://github.com/Siderite/lichessTools/issues/1293
I don't know when i am going to get the time to work on them, though, @Plusduntour

Hello,
I saw that it is now possible to organize topics — I don't know if you made it, or Lichess.
Thank you a lot if so.
But this doesn't really work. Suddendly, the whole topics organisation comes back to the former way: the random position of topics.
Thank you for you help.

Tell me what you're doing, @Plusduntour . I am dragging and dropping the topics on the left side and then I refresh the page and everything is still there in the order I dragged them into. How it is different for you?

I dragged all of them in order to reach the classification I wanted, then clicked on "thèmes" ("topcics", I guess) and registered - and it was fine. I think the problem came when I opened a new Lichess window from my Google chrome.

I too experienced this. Yesterday I dragged and dropped the topics in nice alphabetical order and all looked fine. Today as I open a new tab the order is changed. But I think the reason might be that I could have updated my list of topic names in another tab without first having refreshed to get the topics list correct. I sorted my list again and it looks fine now as I open new tabs.

Today I made it so you can reorder the tags in the textbox. Then you can press save. Maybe it's more intuitive. I don't know when I am going to publish, though. Trying to solve the problem with the images.

That sounds like a good solution, and it would also make it easier to sort, because with a long list I currently struggle to move bottom topics to the very top without scrolling, so I have to temporarily drop them midway :) In the text box all topics fit easily.
No rush whatsoever, thanks for all your work, it makes lichess so much better!

I subscribe to what TobbeF says. And I make a correction: it is indeed when I updtate my topics names, that the order I had chosen disappears. : )

Ah, I see it now. It works fine until you add a topic to a study. I will raise an issue with Lichess...
