Lichess Patron Wings Update - Colors

Any chance the patron wing color update will be carrying over to the mobile app?

What a pity, the simple look of this amazing chess playing platform is disappearing more and more. Things like "flair" and "coloured" wings are raising up here. (Thank You for the possibility to switch off displaying of "flair" !) When do the non "winged" users color their spots ? Do we need silly profile pictures ?

I understand where you’re coming from. Lichess has always had a beautifully simple look, and that’s part of what makes it special. But I think the colored wings and flair options serve another purpose beyond just decoration.

They’re a small way to recognize the people who help keep this free platform running. Lichess relies entirely on donations, and those subtle symbols might actually encourage more people to contribute which means everyone can continue to enjoy the site without ads, paywalls, or corporate nonsense.

So while the visuals may not appeal to everyone, I’d say it’s a fair trade to keep such an incredible resource alive and accessible for all of us.

now i understand the intention behind coloured wings, i choosed a colour wich fits a little to my "name" graugruen (greygreen).

Thank You all for Your servings for this amazing platform without any advertizing, loading and working very well each time (with very rare exceptions during years). Hope You founding more donators.

Apart from "coloured wings" to possibly encourage donators (but I'm a it skeptical), I completely agree with the above statement. Lichess "traditional" look has great personality and style, it's completely functional and what's more it perfectly pairs the website and the old app look together, like mother and daughter. The new app completely ruins this harmony.

Now you're going to redesign the website too, to match the new app, aren't you? So sad.
