Realistically there's little we can do to attract top players. As time passes, players get older, get new life responsibilities, possibly start getting jobs, families, etc... It gets harder and harder to allocate time for zh or online chess in general. As I see it, the elite player scene changes by waves and you could say we're on a descending wave (those top players like Jasugi/catask/Jann/opper/etc... have less interest/time for zh at the moment). That being said, we're already starting to see some new, younger players arrive and I'm confident the elite crazyhouse scene will regain momentum soon.
