In Defense of the Insult clousems Page

@Vertonghen has recently launched an assault against the integrity of the team clousems insults page, claiming that it was useless and merely an attempt to gain followers. While I am perfectly fine with being insulted, such an attack against the insults forum shall not go undefended. Let us look at his argument and see where he errs.

"@clousems creates these (useless) threads to gain popularity and followers, have this thread become very big and this team would be the best.(This is my Guess what you are trying to do)"

  1. Did you really call the insults page useless? The first post is literally explaining the purpose of the insults page.
  2. "...to gain popularity and followers." If I really wanted to gain followers and popularity on a chess site, I would probably post more insightful, chess-related things. Also, I try to keep my followers at exactly 81, as I like perfect squares.
  3. "...and this team would be the best" I don't think that this team would ever be the best lichess team. Think of it as the lichess version of Tottenham Hotspur: there are those who like it, but everyone knows its really not that good.
  4. Back to the "useless" thing: Please provide examples of "useless" threads that I create.
  5. "(This is my Guess what you are trying to do)[sic]": That syntax is so cringey. So very, very cringey.
