I am the reason for this thread since I asked @clousems about how he would feel if I started ranting in his thread. To be completely honest, however, I don't see why we can't all rant in the same thread. Isn't that what everyone else does in the Lichess forums? It's not like we're writing academic papers to achieve anything. It'll be interesting to see if @clousems responds in his thread or this thread since there seems to be a separation here. Maybe he thinks his ranting is of a better quality and deserves his own thread. Or if someone posts in here and has the Coronavirus, he won't get it since the majority of his posts are in a different thread. #ThreadLivesMatter
@Puredication : Nice first rant about rants. Regarding the reasoning for the separation, there are two reasons for this:
1) Archival purposes
2) The team charter states that one of the purposes of the team is "To provide a location for clousems to post random crap that springs to his mind" (Section 1 Article iv). In my interpretation, this warrants a separation between the threads.

1. Is this ranting PG? Or am I allowed to use a light amount of profanities? it is so stupid that a few letters together can mean something rude when the idea they convey is not offensive in the slightest! The n-word has a racial meaning, so is racist, and clearly bad, but f--k? It is merely a way to vent out energy over frustration, and it's sexual context isn't bad either, yet it is bleeped.
2. I find it so annoying that you would waste valuable space in this thread COMPLIMENTING @Puredication. This is for RANTING not for KINDNESS. HOW DARE YOU!?!?!?? It is a disgrace and makes me feel disgusted you vile creature.

@SlicingBishop2006 I disagree with your 2nd paragraph, "I find it ... you vile creature". Killing "internet trees" doesn't actually harm our "internet environment", so the usage of forum space doesn't matter (just be glad @clousems kept his answer below 500 words). I also believe that during these times, people need to be kind to each other: Compliment others instead of saying "HOW DARE YOU!?!?!??" to those that are being kind.

Rants are not necessarily negative, just long winded.
Also, lets keep the use of name calling restricted to the insult clousems pages.
Well, I suppose you can call each other names if the target of the name calling gives his or her consent. Just don't take it too far.
I just got frustratingly close to getting Top 10 in the Daily Atomic Arena, so I want to discuss a phrase that is used too often: GG. Most people that use the phrase are people who win their games in a fairly short amount of time. This tells us that their opponent blundered quickly, so why the hell are they saying Good Game? I truly don't understand, and if someone can clear that up for me, that'd be great. If a game is bad, then just don't say anything, as saying GG is really just unnecessary and rude.
