The House Discord: Spring news

BOT HouseDiscord

Hi,

Back again to tell you more about our chess and variants Discord server – The House! In this piece of news, I will briefly explain our channel structure and give you an update on what has been happening in our server.

The House is divided into main channels and variant channels. Each channel is like a messenger chat but for a specific purpose.
• The main channels are the general, chess and games channels.
• The variant channels are: crazyhouse, bughouse, 3-check, 4-player, antichess, horde, atomic, s-chess, 960, king of the hill, racing kings and ultra chess.
The beauty of the server is that you can choose which variants you are interested in and join the respective channels to chat with that variant community! Our super-sophisticated bots handle commands that grant you an access to a channel or lets you leave it. You'll see how it all works once you join.

Next, a little bit more topical news: during the last few months, we have been helping organise the Crazyhouse World Championship (CWC), which is hosted by @FischyVishy. In the House, we’ve been following the games live and providing voice commentary on the matches. We also provide links to the tournament draw and match calendar all in one place.

Last but not least, we are pleased to say that the antichess community has begun to blossom on our server! In the last update, I mentioned that crazyhouse and bughouse channels were the most active channels, but they are now easily rivalled by our devoted antichess fans. Some well-known antichess players residing in The House are @hauptschule, @PepsiNGaming, @Link, @TheBigNico and @Fins among other players. The rumour goes @PepsiNGaming only streamed his 24h epic journey in the Antichess Revolution because of a dare from the other House members.

MMichael
