I can understand @RoyalDesperession but a live event counts for so much more than just the chess game! Having fun, meeting new friends, new opportunities, enjoying a good talk. And after a busy day of chess you can catch a drink with your rival! It is the thrill that makes an event like this stay in your mind forever!

I myself would love to come. However, I am not old enough to come by myself. As it is in 2022, the pandemic should be over by then. I will try and do my best to come, but there are no guarantees. Like @ForgetNot said, this would be the opportunity of a lifetime, to see the players you play online face to face and have a real conversation. Again, I will do my best to come, though I don't know for sure if I will. It is in two years, so plans will change, I do not expect anyone to know definitely right now whether they will come.

I like this idea very much and if possible, I'd love to visit Amsterdam again to that occasion. Whether I really can participate, depends on several personal plannings, that should be fixed till April 2022.

so with FIDE it organizes Live tournaments, and IAF wants this especially because compared to Atomic, we can play real.
@forgetnot and @bblg's initiative is a step forward for our community
online we still have ACWC 1 + 2, soon there will be continental cups, but to participate in a party in the evening with the competitors is really something unforgettable
As in the supercup where potential sponsors can contact @kex09 for the prize pool, for Amsterdam 2022 please, who wants to be a sponsor to contact @ForgetNot

I probably won't be able to go to the match as I am an adult yet but I speak for most people, that party after the match would be good.

I definitely will participate in this legendary tourney at any cost, since it's gonna be a historical interesting event for the whole community, where I can meet my favorite players and spend the time in a pleasant company, and the new powerful stage of development for the Federation. I also offer any possible help you need, so don't hesitate to contact me, guys! Good luck for organizators, I hope you will stay motivated enough to turn it into reality! I can't imagine how hard and "thankless" could it be, so I will share you my ideas, if have any. And urge everyone to do the same - it would be the nicest form of feedback for organizators, IMHO.

+1 to want to attend a live tournament. This is much better than relaxing on the beach. I think, even my wife, who cannot live without a seaside vacation, will agree to change the hot sands for cool Amsterdam.

Hello, I would like to attend but I think the 90 euros participation fee is a bit too much for me as I am a student. I think lowering it would encourage ppl like me to attend the championship!
