One question on the knights from the Attack design: Would it make sense to use L shapes instead? As this is how the piece actually move/attack.

The idea is that the lines point to the attack vector, I did consider L shapes, but the lines just did not seem to work well.
Attack seems bacteria in an infection battle, I like it, also for the moving info "encrypted" in the shape.
