Hi all;
@HollowLeaf thanks a lot for this great project. I see this tool has a big potential. As a professional player and coach, I'll list some pros and possible improvements; (I'll update the list the more I use the app.
Pros;
- Clean interface, easy to understand.
- Great integration of opponent preparation tool (lichess-chess.com search and listing as tree) and stockfish.
- Fast working frame, lines are interpreted in a fine order, not messy.
Possible Developments;
- When you add games into Library, there should be also options like;
a) making the games you add as an opening tree
b) possibility to export all or selected games so players can classify games upon certain openings
-
Integration of a tool like lichess insights can be added to show statistical data or coach a player about some variables upon accuracy etc of their games played (PGN) so the player either improves his repertoire or changes it.
-
Upon analyzing one's games, suggestion of certain sets of openings upon a players' strenght, weakness, style and level. These sets can be defined by pawn structures, opening success among different player levels (lichess player base data can be used if possible) the playing accuracy etc.

Thank you, I have been enjoying this journey and will be continuing to develop the platform.
1a) you do have a library card where you can view your library items when building your repertoire, there is some nice stuff around that built it.
1b) If you click on the profile, you can export all your games or repertoires. I do not have a filtered download yet, but that might be an interesting idea, as we have tags in the Library section.
-
I am planning on more insight based functionality, right now, I do have Performance stuff in the Library, and you can see your performance at different moves, but I do want some player reports and profiles, this is in my backlog.
-
That is also on the cards, I have ideas like generating a repertoire based on the users games. Profiling a player and suggesting is a super interesting idea, so definitely something I will look forward to exploring.
Thank you so much for your comments. Also, if you are inclined, do join our discord where we manage ideas, bugs and feedback.

Hi,
The app seems cool at first glance, I'm a programmer myself so I understand the effort needed to create it. But there are issues that make it not a good replacement for similar online apps - like for example chesstempo.com.
First thing - the UI is laggy. There's a big delay between mouse movement and the screen piece movement (it really needs optimizing - there's no good connection between what I see and what I do). Second thing - no arrows showing next possible moves in a position. They help a lot in tools that have them. Third thing - I imported an opening with multiple lines, wanted to train it using 'Repertoire Trainer' - I had to restart it after finishing first line (no automatic next try) but it was using the same line all the time. I wasn't able to train another line that exist in this repertoire.
But - the idea to train from the beginning is very good, the UI seems nice and clean, so I think that after some work it can become a good player in this area. Right now it's like an 'alpha' version. But - as I wrote at the beginning - I know how much effort it must have taken and I congratulate you on that. But - for me (and probably for others that use similar tools already) it's not yet something I would switch too. I wrote it so that you can improve it (if you want of course) ;)
Good luck in improving that app and thanks for sharing.

Thanks for the feedback, I am curious about the lag as I have quite a few users that far exceed the free quotas that are currently (10x-20x the number of moves and there is not issue), so I am very curious.
Arrows showing the next possible moves is a tricky one, as the platform has lots of possible inputs i.e. Stockfish, Masters DB, ChessDB etc, so trying to figure out a nice clean way to show arrows has been a fun design challenge.
This is a first release, by no means the last, so all feedback is greatly appreciated.

The lag is not a network lag (I hope ;) ) - it's a visual lag, when you hold a piece and move it around the chessboard. Jut a UI components refresh lag.
