46th Chess Olympiad - Australian Player Boycotts Israel

It still appears weird to me that the Australian player chose no other venue than the Lichess forum for this "protest". No chesscom, no social media ...

It's amazing how many here implicitly forgive Hamas for all the evil they have been doing over the years at the cost of the Palestinian People, from stealing aid, using them as human shields, raping girls and boys (yes, BOYS), murders, etc., whilst their "leaders" hide out in foreign countries with billions of stolen money meant for the Palestinian population.

Just Amazing. you must be so proud of yourselves.

Thank You.

I canceled my support of this website effective immediately. I encourage others to do the same.

This is a fallacy.

We're not talking about Hamas here, we're talking about what Israel did and continues to do after October 7.
Nobody here talked well of Hamas and what they did on that date, and if someone did they are wrong and promoting violence and hatred and should be reported.

Israel couldn't care less about Hamas murdering and raping their own people, they did nothing when they knew and could. That's not a direct cause of what's happening. In fact, Israel couldn't care less of Palestinian lives period.

By being ignorant about Hamas, people are already twisting reality and gaslighting, essentially. Being silent about the role of Hamas already supports its narratives.

Also for the record, Lichess is far more than just Thibault

I am not playing. I am participating in the sporting boycott of Israel.

I completely support your decision to express your opinions in any legal way you find appropriate. Showing your support to your cause without violence is admirable.
