Am I the only one?

@fin34601473braunpaul So maybe visualisation skills are most important thing in Chess, blindfold or otherwise, and 960chess would be much harder as you lose the theory?

Anyhoo, thx for the info

960chess would be much harder as you lose the theory?

Yes, visual memory seems to be the key and it has a huge impact on playing 960.
I know another interview of GM Keymer at the Weißenhaus tournament stating that in 960 there are "unbelievable" blunders of masters, so I guess Fischer was right about how to eliminate much of the memorization.

Fun fact: My very first Lichess virtual cup trophy is from 960 very recently. As a low rated player that may mean for me to go to the places where everybody knows nothing, so 960 turns out to be a good thing for me. :-)

Source for unfamiliar lines from amateurs giving (blindfold) simul hosts a hard time: book <<Schauspiel des Geistes>> about FM Marc Lang's blindfold simul records, German original text on p. 65, describing an opponent in blindfold simul, my translation:
*
[He] played beyond all known patterns, which is common for beginners. At each round [the co-host] asked, if he really meant that move and no other one? I knew him fom the club, so his unorthodox playing style did not surprise me. But still, it forced me to think longer than usual.
