@Alphilinte you have a point. None of these guys is known in any business, there is no physical address and the website's registrant is from the Baleares. Even if there was a demonstrably working prototype, it would be at best hazardous to send money with this level of information.

I have not read the entirety of the thread and I don't know if it was mentioned already. I have visited their website, the russian and german translations seem off at best and autotranslated at worst. So I suspect it was either done by some university students for 10 € or a good translation program.

Yes I believe most of Spanish employees are real. The others ? Not so sure...
And I have this new bit of curiosity.
A Spanish woman replied to Thibault on Twitter, giving him the link to their latest video (https://twitter.com/Rhamnusia_/status/1228690332004634624). From the beginning, she's advertising Regium's board. However, she doesn't appear as a member of the company (unless she is Alexandra ?). And she's close to a Spanish far-right party, Vox. Her twitter feed is quite strange : Chess, Regium and Neo-fascism.
I agree with the idea that their threats to sue and the video make this company worrisome. And even though they retracted their threat (once they saw a potential for more money) they never explained the initial legal problems.
I've seen new projects like this fail even with good sponsors but as long as lichess will be there for the presentation than I imagine we might have a better idea then whether it is worth buying or not.
