Why is nobody here questioning their Kickstarter campaign and what they intend to do with the money? In the video, they explain that they have already developed the hardware and need money to develop the software and the connections to popular chess sites. However, cost for the latter two should be significantly less than hardware development cost. I have rarely to never heard of Kickstarter campaigns that have a fully developed hardware. This just sounds supershady

@centralchef if it's a scam, then the obvious answer is "take the money and run". But yes, I imagine that the software costs would be small comared to the hardware, especially if they can design a revolutionary new, thin, electromagnetic system for moving the pieces. I'm VERY skeptical and suspicious.

#131 How does that opacity differ from any other Kickstarter campaign?

Nobody is questioning the kickstarter campaign because they don't think the product is real in the first place. But we'll see what the campaign says when it comes out as well, I guess.

If this takes off, all we need is Captain Disillusion for verification!

Just like beggars who hold a coin in one hand while collecting with the other, I expect them to contribute money themselves, making the fundraise appear legitimate and the project worthy of attention, as they do with likes and comments in their Youtube videos. (Dislikes are most useful here: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCHZ1Mt2bR1YMiPRsrqrnYXg/videos)
EDIT: After 1:30 hours and about 8 new dislikes, REGIUM chess has prohibited users from viewing ratings for all their videos!

I'm waiting for them to delete my comment: "All negative comments will be deleted" looks like they already have a bunch of thumbs down.
Chances are they are here reading this too. Hello Regium, why so shady?

This is a very nicely written smackdown of an obnoxious fraud. Perhaps unduly tentative and modest--since it is one hundred percent fraudulent. But really the most damning thing you can say to someone like that is "we eagerly await more compelling evidence".
