@Panagrellus i think the classic one is standard Wenge DGT that i would also be able to buy if that was cheaper and supported by lichess :)
That DGT eboard (not sure which model as there is newer with BlueTooth) has microUSB plug in the A1 corner :)

I have a question for the more tech oriented people here... Would a chessboard like Regium be possible? Is it technically feasible in the near future? Can it be built for a normal prize?
I hear different stories. I would hope a company like DGT or even a large technical firm would take up this effort.
If I see the interest on all the chess sites I think it could be a profitable market and more than a niche market. This would be not only extremely nice for chess players but also as something to just have as a show piece in your home. And I think also about chess clubs, schools, libraries?!

A lot of the people backing it might not be even chess players, so they might never even see threads like these.

@Vynist
I was talking about this with my friend... even if regium did somehow make this board, the fact that that you can't use it with lichess means that I wouldn't buy it anyway.

@sommerswerd Who would Buy a 700 € Chess board and not be a chess player?

@morozov a lot of better of people want a nice chessboard in their house, they often choose a artistic one. A board a real chess player would not like :)

@Morozov
I could imagine that some retailers do. They see their marketing video and buy some.

It seems that Kickstarter is removing all negative comments.
While there is money involved, all projects are real

I have dived deep into the 610 kick-comments and made the Mats' LMAO printscreen for the next generations:

[LMAO is an old, USENET, acronym that stands for laughing my ass off :) - dear reader compare it to the meaning of LOL and ROTFL ]
And that deep zone also shows that the comments have been moderated by hand or by a request - there are still a few duplicates.
