Correspondence chess: Why do people play so many games at a time?

I play mostly cc. I like to play one move per day time control. Play enough games to keep me busy, maybe 15-20 games.

Probably the amount of time I spend on each game is similar to a classical. Maybe I complete 2-3 games per day. I use the analysis board all the time. I find that helps my middle-game skills. <snip>

Do you ever get burned out from the games?

It's a good question. Sure, sometimes if I have a bad day, lose a couple of bad games, I lose interest in my other games. I'm trying to work through that. Perhaps one move in two days would be better, so I can slow things down a bit, or take a day off.
