Does variant destroy your standard game??

i quitted standard after i played anti

I used to suck at standard and then I realized that I had a talent for giving up pieces, and so now I only play anti.

this once happened to me too after playing lots of antichess. but you need to keep a balance of all games and before doing a move check whether it is standard chess or variant.

There are lots of fun ways to play chess. Funny enough, only the classic version is super popular among players. I actually think chess variants based on the traditional game are a cool twist. It's like adding a piece or two or making the board a bit bigger. It keeps things reasonable and doesn’t stray too far from the classic chess feel.
