this is my elo now how do I become 2000 quickly?
Inspect Element => Elo: 2000
@The_Dragon_Of_Harmia There isn't some magic way to suddenly reach 2000; you must practice (play slow time controls!), analyse and understand losses, and put time and energy into it. Puzzles helped me, but don't overrate them. It's very different in a real game where nobody tells you there's a tactic.
At your level, many games are decided by one-, two-, or three-move blunders. Always double-check before moving and make sure you are not hanging a piece directly or via a fork, pin etc. Keep an eye out for when your opponent makes blunders like this so you can capitalise on them. This is where puzzles can help; they can make it easier for you to notice tactical opportunities.

@The_Dragon_Of_Harmia you don’t.
you do because I know someone who got 2000 in 5 months starting at 8 hundred. I started like 6 months ago and I gain overall about 800 elo
The original account of @SNandy80 was indeed marked for cheating, and later muted as well.
Aim for lower milestones first. 1200, then 1400, then 1600...
Watch Gotham slowrun
chomp on hanging pieces, spam puzzles every day, don't play faster than 15+10

Oh I thought you ment like 3 months or something like that.
Ignore opening theory; focus on the middlegame and endgame. I made the mistake of learning openings at ~1000 elo, and it took me months to even gain 50 rating. As soon as i focused on middlegames and endgames, I quickly rose to ~1800 within 6 months. In the opening, don't study lines, just play principled. At 1000 elo, people aren't going to play 20 moves of Ruy Lopez theory, so don't learn it. Study your middlegame tactics, pawn structures et cetera and common endgames, and trust me you will gain rating.
