Being in the same rating range and saying that is crazy. You just cannot assume somebody’s training habits. What even is the thought process? Ah, yes, he is asking for opening recommendations, therefore he must be lazy!

I never called him or her lazy, I meant to 'stop daydreaming and train' without being harsh, You can study Openings from
Yeah but why do you already assume he is daydreaming? He could be somebody who started playing chess a month ago and has worked tirelessly ever since. You however without knowing that information just assume for some reason that he is daydreaming while he may not be.

And why do you think daydreaming is bad? I mean yeah i said not to daydream, but not a lot, not too less, Our Pride and hope what makes us stronger in Chess, Me and you, we both dont know his life, too daydream can waste time and its a bad habit, too less daydream, I gotta say, Respect your effort and appreciate yourself but I also mean dont act like you can beat Magnus cuz you got win streak of 10, Yes you can imagine what being GM looks like and how'll everyone will respect you, but point is, how are you gonna get to that? by training in endgames and tactics, if he started a month ago and same rating as me, thats actually impressive, I never said he was daydreaming, i said not to daydream much and actually train, I guess we both misunderstanded each other, anyways to the person who opened this topic, I gotta say, keep going but remember to not daydream much ok? have a great day.

1 e4 e5 2 Nc3!
No Petroff, no Ruy Lopez, the pawn e4 is protected and Nc3 hinders the d5 break.
2... Nf6 3 Bc4! Study the games of the wise Uzbeks and see how they've turned this ancient line into an effective w eapon.

At the Olympiad
Sindarov v Bluebaum 1-0
Abdusattorov v Caruana 1-0
Yakkuboev v Samunenkov 1/2-1/2

The Petrov:
e4 e5, Nf3 Nf6.

The line against it (best, according to GM Anish Giri):
d4.

  • You don't have to play 1.e4, you can play 1.Nf3.

If you are talking about blitz against people your rating, you can try the cochran gambit. Pay it vs stockfish at your level a few times and see it you enjoy it. Then try it in blitz. It's 'almost' (but not completely) sound but you get a long lasting squeeze and 2 pawns for a piece.
Its 1. e4 e5 2. Nf3 Nf6 3. Nxe5 d6 4. Nxf7 then generally push d4 (dont rush with Bc4+) f4 e5 00 and gradually squeeze the kingside.

  • Bill

(Playing for money not love, I play 3. d4 FWIW)
