Instead of "who do I have to beat on the board by playing chess in order to become a GM" it will be "who do I have to pay for so I can use an app in my butt without beeing banned and others with their app in their butt will be banned because they do not pay enough". Do you really want to ruin chess forever? I thought that you are interested in making chess known to more people and a bigger community. Look what Elon Musk said, do you really want that? This player clearly was not cheating and a talent was eliminated here today! And you are supporting that.

If you met your so-called friend through online interactions, the first golden rule of the online world (in my opinion)is to never fully trust anyone. How do you know he didn't cheat? Can you read his mind? For all we know, he could purposely be making blunders to make his games look less suspicious.

In that case, why should we play chess? Lets eliminate all the chess sites because we have to be suspicious of everbody and everbody is cheating! Don ́t play a single game because there are only cheaters! Even the engine analyzing each game is manipulated.

Can I take another wild guess and say that Lichess didn’t ban ‘your friend’ because of some personal characteristics or beliefs when he appealed?

Let me say this... Lichess has never had cause to warn or ban me for any of the games I have played and there’s one very good reason that... I don’t cheat!

And as has previously been mentioned, there is a delete account option.. and that’s available to anyone regardless of their personal beliefs, persuasions etc etc etc. it most certainly doesn’t discriminate. Try it if you don’t believe me.
