I'm still on my way through Herman Grooten's Chess strategy for club players. At the same time I'm trying to study selected chapters of Mauricio Flores Rios' Chess Structures (those structures I fell I have biggest problems with for now) and John Emms' Attacking with 1. e4 and Play the open games as black. Waiting in the queue are the rest of Chess structures, How to study chess on your own by Davorin Kuljašević (both the main book and workbooks), Logical chess move by move by Irvin Chernev and Chess imbalances (again Mauricio Flores Rios). Considering my pace so far, that's rather a list for next few years than for the summer.

There is book (Capablanca x 3) with about 121 pages for Chess Fundamentals.

My copy of "Chess Fundamentals" is 60 pages.
There is another more basic book "A Primer of Chess" that is longer.

Chess Fundamentals Original Edition is 118 pages ... The New edition 100th Anniversary Edition is 287 pages ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, maybe your thinking of Capablanca's Last Chess Lectures Original Edition which is far shorter

@ThunderClap Thanks for the recommendation! I've just ordered a second hand copy from amazon. I'm about 1900-2000 strength lichess (judging on my chesscom rating) so not a total beginner. Reason why I never picked up a chess book is I'm quite bad at visualising positions so I'm worried I'd have trouble visualising the moves. Do you have any tips for that or is there any exercise i can practice with?

I think that most of us follow book discussions with the help of a board. Some claim to use two boards, but I have a hard time believing that anybody actually does that.

You can just take a chess board and study the book no need to visualize once u solve a lot of puzzles your visualising ability will automatically improve
