What are your chess goals right now?

my goal currently is to learn better defense and endgames, because at 950 elo im great at attacking, better than my level, but my prophylaxis and endgames are still terrible.

I love attacking chess and also sacrifices; look at this game I played 1+0 during the 2026 summer marathon.

genuinely a sweet game with the scotch gambit. you should also try the tal variation of the caro-kann, named after mikhail tal. it might be the most sacrifice heavy opening out there, and can easily steamroll black if they dont play aggressively from the opening. its also completely sound, as white keeps a +0.1 advantage after h4!, and also gets a huge space advantage.

To improve at chess, watching games played by players of that era can help (games by Tal or Fisher, for example).
