I'm fine with either. As for reason chess players should not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character.

Neither.
You're going to play each roughly 50% of the time, so having a strong bias isn't helpful.
Even GMs below the elite level are playing in opens where winning with white or black is essential for prize money. Or take the ongoing Olympiad, your team may rely on you to fight as black.
The exception - if you're very strong as white and confident in your winning abilities, then drawing with black is acceptable. Karpov and Kramnik in particular come to mind among the world champions.

Nepomniachtchi and Sindarov won Candidates' Tournaments with wins as black.

I do not want to evaluate chess players

I prefer Black openings to White ones: French, Caro-Kann, Queen's Indian... Yes, I play them with White as well, but I prefer the variations that I get more often as Black (like the Steinitz French).

i prefer white, because thats where the good gambits are, like the kings gambit and scotch gambit

Either is good. At a sub-master level particularly, White is rather overrated. I do have some preference for White simply psychologically (and I know it's psychological; I play just as well as Black), though.

@Greensnake55555 - I just hope, you don't develop or already have a fear of playing with black. Not good for one's game!
A good attitude to have, is a great quote from Chessmaster - Bogoljubow
- "When I am White I win because I am White. When I am Black I win because I am Bogoljubow." A very confident player indeed. -:]
