Thank you so much for the info! I had actually noticed that myself.

Do you think it would be a great option for users to have Maia available in the “Play Computer” section as well? Stockfish really isn’t that great to play against. It’s extremely strong, but then it will sometimes make a ridiculous blunder just to compensate. I’ve actually switched to playing bots on Chess.com because they allow takebacks too.

Kind of ironic, because the reason I came to Lichess in the first place was because you do allow takebacks in games. So it’s a little sad that I’m now playing bots elsewhere because of this, haha.

I really think having Maia in the “Play Computer” section would make it wayyyyy easier for users to discover and actually play against them. Right now, the Maia bots are difficult to find and set up matches against, they don’t allow takebacks, and there are only three different strengths.

On the app, you can choose Maia's strength in 100-Elo increments and even go below Maia 1. I really hope you can take all of this into consideration and add Maia to the “Play Computer” section on the website, like you’ve already done on the app.

It would make it much easier and more enjoyable to play against the Maia, especially for beginners or people wishing to practice. There's no great way to do either on the website at this time.

I personally don’t play bots on Lichess because of these issues, and I’ve been waiting for these features for years. I honestly don’t understand why the app can have them but the web version can’t. It would make such a huge difference for people who enjoy playing against Maia!
