Recently EVERY time I login to lichess.org I'm asked if I'm a human being. I'd like to know why and there doesn't seem to be a way to ask a human being directly who represents lichess. Once a week is fine. Every time I log in is abusive. So, someone officially representing lichess, why is this happening? I am a human being, last I checked. Yup, still am. I do not use software other than my browser when logged into lichess. so ... why? All other players are not asked this. Oh, yeah and I've got to prove I'm human here too. Way too much of this (all without much point).

I just logged in to Lichess on my iPad. Didn’t need to prove I was human. Bwaaaahaaahaaa! I’m in!
I'm serious, (IamNOTamod) and it's annoying being targeted in this way. I'd like to know why it's happening and be able to respond to Lichess on that topic.

You are not being "targeted" because everyone is now required to pass the anti-spambot test.
In case you really don't know why such a test is in place, every site has to protect itself against attacks from malicious software which can bring down the whole platform if unchecked. By spending a short time clicking an "I am human" box and waiting a few extra seconds before being admitted to the site, we are all contributing to the fact that this chess platform is operating 24/7 allowing us to play whenever we like, instead of being confronted with the message "site is unreachable" when we try.

@jhehrun , do you use a browser that is "privacy oriented" or did you set up extensions or browser preferences to clear your cookies and stuff?
I mean, I hear it's the new norm now to prove you're human when you log in, but I haven't logged on in Lichess for months and then only because I need to test another user or how it worked logged out. Why do you log in that often?
