I'm glad i am not alone with this recent problem; pieces drop without me releasing the mouse button. I tried changing the battery in my mouse but it still does it but I would say less often then before; guess i'm going to buy a new mouse see how it goes. BTW it does in in both lichess and chesscom

I did have a similar issue recently. Opening my mouse and cleaning it fixed it.
